Daphne du Maurier - magazine columist Where did Daphne du Maurier have a magazine column? I am researching the work and life of the writer/producer Roberta Leigh. As well as her books and television series for children, she was a columnist for the Daily Herald newspaper in the late 1950s, as well as in assorted other periodicals, usually under the pseudonym Rachel Lindsay. I am aware that Monica Dickens also had a column in Woman's Own, which I discovered while researching the serialisations of Roberta Leigh's novels, and just bought a 1957 book called The Woman's Own Book of Pleasure. This is (apparently) a one-off compendium of fiction and articles but has a profile of Daphne du Maurier, whichmentions that she also had a column. Was this also in Woman's Own, does anyone know, please? | Fri 09/10/20 08:15 AM |
