Don’t Look Now is on BBC2 on Friday 9th February at 11.05pm
The film Don’t Look Now, based on the short story by Daphne du Maurier and directed by Nicholas Roeg, is showing on BBC2 this Friday evening, 9th February, at 11.05pm.
Laura and John Baxter, a married couple grieving the recent death of their young daughter Christine, are in Venice when they encounter two elderly sisters, one of whom claims to be psychic and brings a warning from beyond.
…and so this fantastic movie begins!
Probably the most terrifying of all Daphne du Maurier’s short stories and taken to a new level by the mastery of Nicholas Roeg, this film has remained popular for the entire fifty years since it was first made and has aquired what can only be described as cult status.
If you have never watched it, you must, and if you have watched it before, you need to see it again. But be prepared to be gripped with fear and held breathless right to the end. Oh, and maybe leave the lights on!
