The expanded exhibition of Daphne du Maurier items at Books on the Hill, St Albans
In June, we told you about the fascinating permanent Daphne du Maurier exhibition at Books on the Hill in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Since then, the collection has grown! Yes, Books on the Hill has expanded the number of items that are on display. You can now see more letters, postcards, Christmas cards and photographs, all providing a fascinating mix of conversations and memories of our much-loved writer.
The curator of this beautiful exhibition says:
Listening to visitors and customers discussing Daphne du Maurier’s work; when they first read Rebecca or first watched Hitchcock’s adaptation of The Birds, is such a thrill.
The Daphne du Maurier exhibition, which is free, is in the Books on the Hill Reading Rooms, alongside vintage and antiquarian books that are for sale. It is open from Thursdays to Sundays.
