A day-by-day look at the events taking place at Fowey Festival – Thursday 18th May
This morning begins bright and early with the second book group meeting in the Parish Hall at 9.30am. Today Serena Trowbridge will discuss Daphne du Maurier's first novel, The Loving Spirit, with you. At 10.30am, the second Daphne du Maurier's Fowey Guided Walk takes place, beginning at the main car park in Hanson Drive and lasting about two hours.J S Monroe
Kate Aspengren
At 2pm in the Town Hall, much-loved festival speaker and supporter Kate Aspengren presents her talk, Rebecca: Stage and Screen. Kate teaches creative writing at Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is a successful playwright in the US. Kate is followed at 4pm by Rowan Hisayo Buchanan talking about her latest book, The Sleep Watcher.
The evening begins in the Town Hall at 6pm, with Julia Hollander's talk, Why We Sing. Julia explains why this should be and offers inspiration to anyone who loves to sing.
Fisherman's Friends
Then at 8pm in the Parish Church, Fisherman's Friends return to bring us another fabulous concert.
