The Daphne du Maurier Society of North America – date amendment for the "Writers should be read" Reading Retreat in Michigan
The Daphne du Maurier Society of North America apologise for the mistake in the date for the "Writers should be read" Reading Retreat in Michigan, which takes place on Sunday 23rd July and NOT on 22nd July as previously stated.
Here is what the Society have to say about the event, which is sure to be a super afternoon:
Ever wondered if consciousness remains after death? Or what could happen if a scientist went off the deep end? Or if A.I. will take over the world? Then don't miss the Daphne du Maurier Society of North America's first reading retreat at Higgins Lake, Michigan. The afternoon will consist of coffee, conversation and analysis of "The Breakthrough" - 58 pages of chilling prose about the limits of science and what happens after we die. We have many members in the Michigan area, so even if you don't want the wits scared out of you by the story, join us to mix and mingle with other Daphne du Maurier devotees.
The event takes place from 2.30pm – 4.00pm at Cottage Grove Association Dining Hall Higgins Lake, 212 Old Stage Road, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
If you would like to make a weekend of your visit, the Lakeside Resort on Houghton Lake is just 20 minutes from where the meeting takes place. A local to the area suggests you book a 'Lakeside' room as the 'Countryside' rooms face the freeway! To contact them, go to https://lakesideresortandconferencecenter.com.
