Daphne du Maurier: In the footsteps of Rebecca film
Great news for everyone who would like to attend the British premier of Daphne du Maurier: In the footsteps of Rebecca the new documentary about Daphne du Maurier. Due to popular demand this event has been moved from Fowey Town Hall to the Parish Church which has a much bigger seating capacity. Tickets are now available again on-line, from the Cornish Riviera box office (Tel: 01726 879500), from the box office at the Royal Fowey Yacht Club and The Well House.
This event takes place on Friday 12th May at 4pm in St Fimbarrus Church. The programme begins with a panel discussion led by Professor Helen Taylor who will look at the process of researching and making the film with director Elisabeth Schlumberger; producer Patricia Houtart; du Maurier biographer Tatiana de Rosnay and du Maurier expert Dr Laura Varnam.
The documentary was shown on the culture channel Arte in France and Germany in February this year and will be show in the UK for the first time on Friday afternoon. The film features interviews in English plus commentary in French with English subtitles.
