Twenty Years of the du Maurier festival – anniversary event today
At 2pm this afternoon, in Fowey Town Hall, we can enjoy a special event which looks back over the years of the Fowey Festival from its beginning. In celebration of Daphne du Maurer’s life and her long-term hometown of Fowey, 1997 saw the launch of the Daphne du Maurier festival of Arts and Literature. Twenty years on the Festival is an established annual event that continues to celebrate local, national and international writers.
Today Lynn Goold, a founder member of the Festival and Professor Helen Taylor, who has supported the festival from the beginning, talk about twenty years of the festival in Fowey.
