Jamaica Inn in the news as snow engulfs the A30

The celebrated inn on Bodmin moor, made famous by Daphne du Maurier's 1936 novel 'Jamaica Inn', was in the news this week as they offered hospitality to motorists who were stranded by snow on the A30. This article in the Guardian describes Jamaica Inn's staffs' brilliant efforts to assist travellers and refers to Daphne's celebrated novel. They might not have received such a warm welcome if Joss Merlyn, from the novel, had been the landlord! Well done to everyone at Jamaica Inn for their wonderful work and kindness.
