The Ely Standard newspaper report on the auction of Maureen Baker-Munton’s Daphne du Maurier related archive
The Ely Standard has published a report on the Maureen Baker-Munton auction which took place at Rowley’s Auction House, Ely on Saturday 27th April. Maureen Baker-Munton had been PA to Lieutenant General Sir Fredrick Browning and, with her husband ‘Bim’, became close family friends of Daphne and ‘Boy’ Browning. The archive contained many letters, literary papers and photographs including those with a Royal connection and some military items formerly belonging to ‘Boy’.
