Events with writers Diane Setterfield and Ruth Ware
A number of events, while not being solely about her, will undoubtedly reference Daphne du Maurier, so it is definitely worth us mentioning some of these important moments.
We are delighted to welcome the wonderful writer Diane Setterfield, as guest of honour at the Fowey Festival's opening drinks reception and luncheon on Saturday 11th May. 2.30pm – 2.30pm, Fowey Harbour Hotel, and at her own event Once Upon a River, on Sunday 12th May, 11am – 12noon, Fowey Town Hall. She will talk to us about her three novels The Thirteenth Tale, Bellman and Black and Once Upon A River.
Also, on Sunday 12th May, 4pm – 5pm, Fowey Town Hall, we welcome Ruth Ware, who will talk to us about her new novel The Death of Mrs Westaway, which is based in Cornwall and offers a loving homage to Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca.
