There is another opportunity to see the Daphne du Maurier documentary In Rebecca’s Footsteps, on the PBS America channel, on Friday 3rd July at 7.15pm. This is not a channel everyone can get but, if you have Freeview Play, you will find it on Channel 91.
This profile of Daphne initially produced for television in France and Germany, looks at the dual life of Daphne du Maurier, firstly as a writer, whose husband Sir Frederick Browning and children learned to respect her love of seclusion. Secondly, as Lady Browning, who accompanied Sir Frederick to Royal and high-society events.
