Daphne du Maurier’s Cousin Dora, actually Daphne’s father Gerald’s cousin, arrived in Tywardreath, just two miles from Menabilly, in December 1966. She was 88 and had decided to come and live near Daphne without even discussing it first. She lived for a further seven years, and was quite a challenge for Daphne!
