Fowey Festival Short Story Competition 2021 Winners Announced
The Fowey Festival Short Story Competition 2021, with the title Breaking Point, taken from Daphne du Maurier's short story of the same name, has announced the winners.
This year's competition proved to be very popular, making judging an enjoyable but challenging task. Best selling author Raynor Winn was the head judge, and after a reading committee had arrived at a shortlist, she chose the winner and the runner-up
The winner was Lindsey Williams, whose story was about a school bursar and a mother who didn't want her child to go to school. Raynor thought this story stood out above all the others because of the quality of the writing.
The runner-up was Trish Onken.
We want to congratulate everyone who took part and especially the two winners. To read their short stories, go to https://www.foweyfestival.com/competitions-and-awards/short-story-competition-for-adults/, and click on the links.
