Jane Slade grave Is it still possible to visit the grave and can you still make out the writing ? I believe that it is in Lanteglos churchyard is it easy to find ? Many thanks | Thu 24/03/22 11:12 AM |

Yes, it is possible to visit Jane Slade’s grave in the churchyard at Lanteglos, and the writing is quite clear. Inside the church is a reference that directs you to individual graves. You will find Jane’s grave on that list, and it should not be too difficult to find. It is approximately to your left as you go into the church, but the directions inside the church will make that clearer. The gravestone includes the words Christopher Slade and also of Jane Symons, his wife, so it doesn’t actually say Jane Slade, but it is her grave. There is a photograph of the gravestone on the Daphne du Maurier website. To find it go to our home page, click on Photo Albums, then click on Jo Wing’s Pictures.
