Cornwall Life magazine focuses on Fowey
The May issue of Cornwall Life magazine, out now, focuses on Fowey, the town that meant so much to Daphne du Maurier and influenced her work immeasurably. The magazine features a range of articles about the town and its current residents, including a piece by our very own Ann Willmore, du Maurier expert and owner, with husband David, of Bookends of Fowey.
Ann discusses her own passion for Fowey and points out the town's importance as a literary centre in Cornwall, both during du Maurier's lifetime and to this day.
The magazine also includes a feature on the 'Top Twelve' events of the Fowey Festival chosen by one of the organisers, Melissa Hartwell. Melissa's choices include Dr Laura Varnam's celebration of du Maurier's Rebecca at 80 on Wednesday 16th May (visit the Festival website here to find out more and buy tickets: Fowey Festival).
