Happy Birthday Daphne
Daphne du Maurier was born on May 13th 1907 and died on April 19th 1989. Each May for the last twenty-four years there has been a literary festival in Fowey which, in part, celebrates the life and work of Daphne du Maurier, the town’s most influential writer. Traditionally the festival has taken place during the week of Daphne’s birthday.
We should have all be enjoying the festival and celebrating Daphne’s birthday this week, but sadly Covid-19 is preventing us from doing that. So, as a small consolation we, at the Daphne du Maurier website, would like to share with you all a montage of pictures of our favourite author.
