As we come to the end of what has been a very challenging year, the idea of writing a short story could provide a welcome distraction and get your creative juices flowing. 2nd July 2020: The 2020 Fowey Festival, which was initially postponed from May until September because of the Covid-19 pandemic has been cancelled. Fowey Festival September 2020 – tickets now on sale
4th April 2020: Tickets are now on sale for the postponed 2020 Fowey Festival of Arts and Literature. Books for the reading groups at Fowey Festival 2020
25th February 2020: As usual, Dr Laura Varnam has chosen two books for Fowey Festival’s ‘Du Maurier Reading Groups’, and we are delighted to be able to tell you that they are the third book that Daphne du Maurier wrote, Julius (1933), and Mary Anne (1954), the novelised tale of Daphne’s great, great grandmother Mary Anne Clarke. The Rook with a Book to have a new home in Fowey
22nd February 2020: In March 2018, the Rook with a Book became a significant piece of public art in Fowey. Sculpted by father and son team Gary and Thomas Thrussell and installed at Berrills Yard.
